Music Lo: to begin to read music

 Every week in music we listen to an different piece of music and respond to it. We draw how the music makes us feel and also what instruments we can hear and whether we like it or not. This weeks music was In the hall of the mountain king by Grieg which the children really enjoyed. 

Then we had a go at starting to learn to read music. Everyone was given a sheet with the music for a song we had been learning on. The children had to read the notes and write the name of the note underneath. They then had a go at practising playing the song on the recorder.
