English Lo: to edit our rainforest stories

 In English today we worked in pairs to edit our stories. We read each other’s stories and helped look for spelling mistakes, missing capital letters and full stops and checking that our writing made sense. There was some amazing team work going on!

 We are continuing to write a letter today to the felt tip pens to persuade them to come back to our classroom. They have gone on strike due to our mistreatment of them and we are writing to try and persuade them back. Today we were writing the concluding sentences of our letter, including some fantastic words for big, word using the un prefix and describing what they could be doing in the classroom like swirling over brilliant blue skies and cascading over rushing rivers.

  The pens are back! There were some very excited children today as we have really missed having the felt tips. Unfortunately, the chairs have now decided to go on strike as well so we are having to write a letter to persuade them to stay!
